Maintenance Tips
- Clean Grates After Each Use: Scrub the cooking grates with a grill brush to remove food residue. For tough buildup, soak them in warm, soapy water.
- Remove Ash Regularly: Empty the ash pan or tray after every use to maintain airflow and prevent rusting.
- Wipe Down Exterior: Use a damp cloth and mild detergent to clean the stainless steel surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners to prevent scratches.
- Inspect Vents: Ensure air vents are clear of ash or debris for proper temperature control during cooking.
- Oil Grates: Lightly coat cooking grates with oil after cleaning to prevent rust and maintain seasoning.
- Check Lid Seal: Inspect the lid for a tight seal to ensure consistent smoking and cooking temperatures. Replace worn gaskets if necessary.
- Deep Clean Occasionally: Periodically remove and clean the firebox, grates, and other internal components to prevent grease buildup and enhance performance.
- Protect from Weather: Use a durable grill cover when not in use to shield it from moisture and the elements.
- Store Charcoal Properly: Keep charcoal in a dry, sealed container to prevent moisture absorption and ensure efficient burning.
